Keep your eyes open for a converted cabinet, and build a Galaga from that. But I wouldn't want to trash a good dedicated Galaxian to get it. Galaga is a great game, and it's one of my favorites. The original fuse holders are almost always bad and loose tension and contact with the fuses. Even if your k4500 monitor tests Ok with the TPG, your Galaxian board may still be fine. If you want to change the control panel, and your overlay is really bad, you could put the Galaga overlay on, or just find another panel (they're pretty common), and save your original panel, marquee and board. It takes a bit of work to get the monitor mounted and spaced correctly with the wooden frame. The Galxian sideart should go pretty well with Galaga, and the control panel/bezel do too. If you want Galaga, go ahead and swap the board and the marquee, but I'd leave the rest alone. It's actually pretty hard to notice if you're not an arcade geek, since the bezel is just a generic starfield sort of thing, and the control panel doesn't actually say "Galaxian" on it anywhere. The monitor bezel and control panel are original. This one got converted somewhere along the line, the sideart was removed and the marquee was swapped. I would have rather had an original dedicated Galaga, but I got a good deal on this one. My Galaga is a converted Galaxian machine.
